Frequently Asked Questions

What products do you manufacture?

We manufacture cardboard cores and tubes for industrial applications. Our products are designed for roll-based production processes and demanding industrial environments where dimensional accuracy, load performance, and repeatable quality are required.

What core diameters do you offer?

We manufacture cardboard cores within a broad inner diameter range from 50 mm up to 350 mm, depending on application requirements. Wall thickness ranges from 1 to 16 mm and is defined individually for each project based on load, process conditions, and performance requirements.

What lengths do you manufacture?

Standard production lengths range from 1,000 mm up to 6,000 mm, subject to specification and logistics considerations.

What materials do you use?

All raw materials are sourced from FSC-certified European suppliers and selected to ensure consistent quality, stable performance, and reliable long-term supply for industrial use.

Are your production processes quality controlled?

Yes. All production is carried out under controlled manufacturing conditions, using calibrated measuring instruments and structured quality monitoring. Production and quality control practices are aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 principles.

Do you support food contact applications?

Smartubes does not independently certify cardboard cores for direct food contact. Food contact compliance can be supported based on certified paper and adhesive materials supplied by our material partners. Declarations of Compliance in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 (GMP) can be provided upon request, where applicable. Adhesives used are intended for indirect food contact applications only, subject to defined conditions of use as specified by the material suppliers.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Minimum order quantity depends on product specification, diameter, wall thickness, and production setup. Each enquiry is reviewed individually — please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What are your typical lead times?

Lead times depend on specification, order volume, and delivery destination. We focus on reliable planning, stable production, and dependable supply, rather than short-term delivery promises.

Do you provide samples?

Yes. Samples can be provided upon request for technical evaluation, testing, and approval.
